OS Updates: Moving to Windows 11 and macOS 15 Sequoia

Windows 10 will reach End of Life (EOL) on October 14, 2025. In preparation, we’ve been transitioning the community to Windows 11 over the past few years through device replacements and in-place upgrades.

To ensure full compliance ahead of the EOL deadline, we will be pushing Windows 11 to all remaining eligible endpoints via Windows Update in the coming months.

In parallel, we will also be rolling out macOS 15 Sequoia to College-owned Macs assigned to faculty and staff via Apple Software Update. As you may know, Apple typically releases new macOS versions on an annual basis to maintain compatibility, performance, and security—so these updates are more frequent and important to stay current.
