Saving Cisco voicemail messages
NOTE: The Cisco voicemail server will be turned off on Wednesday, April 24th.
Save voicemail messages in your Swarthmore email
The voicemail messages that were forwarded to your email account will remain there. You can download the voicemail messages from your email. Follow the directions below to search for voicemail-related email messages:
- Search for emails containing "cucswarthmore.edu".
- Select the email message with the voicemail that you want to save.
- Download the attached voicemail message and save it to your computer.
Download voicemail from the Cisco Personal Communications Portal
NOTE: Contact ITS to gain access to your voicemail web inbox.
- Contact ITS to request access to your Cisco voicemail web inbox BEFORE April 24th.
- Log into your Cisco Personal Communications Assistant web portal vmail.swarthmore.edu/ciscopca/home.do (requires VPN from off campus). If not able to load page while connected to eduroam, try connecting to VPN as well.
- If you get an error, try typing or copy and pasting the web address into a web browser.
- You may need to accept and install Swarthmore's security certificate.
- If you get a webpage with a "Warning" message, it is safe to proceed. Use the advanced options to proceed to the webpage.
- Log in using the credentials provided by ITS. ITS will need to create a new password for you to login.
- Choose Web Inbox.
- Hover over / click on the message that you want to download.
- Right-click on the attached message.wav file
- Choose Open Link in a New Tab.

Firefox browser - the message may then automatically download.

Chrome browser - in the new tab, right-click on the column of 3-dots that are on the right side of the message in the middle of the screen. The Chrome browser has this option (3-dots on the right side). Once in the new tab, different web browsers may have the download option in a different place.
- Select Download.
