How to View and Manage my Google Groups

View your Google Groups

Two ways to access your list of Google Groups:
1. Go to groups.google.com, and sign in with full Swarthmore email address (if prompted), OR
2. Click on the Grid of dots in the top right corner of your Swarthmore email to show Apps lists (see image of expanded Apps list below):
3. Scroll down and select Groups to open My Groups page
Manage Google Group Membership
1. Select the group you want to manage and look for the corresponding icons on the right side of the group's row. Group Members have two icons > Managers have four icons including a gear shaped Settings icon and on Add Member icon (see image of membership icons below).
2. Click the Settings icon to mange members. Members should be removed when they leave the dept.
  - Only use the Add Member icon when you are sure the group's membership is current and accurate.
3. On the group's settings page, scroll down the left side navigation to Members.
4. Select the member to be managed, and use the symbols in the top right of the table for member actions.
5. Hover over each one to see what it does. A text box appears when you hover over the symbol (image of member symbols is below):
6. Select the Minus symbol to remove a member.
7. Select Add Member button on top of the table, to add new member
8. Assign group membership role by entering member's name or email address in corresponding field.
