Fix for MDM Configuration Expiration Warning Pop Up
The MDM profile (Mobile Device Management) used to keep software up-to-date on Swarthmore Apple computers normally auto-renews, but occasionally the renewal process does not complete for various reasons.
In those situations, you can update the profile manually by following the instructions below:
- Open System Settings > Profiles, highlight and remove (-) the MDM Profile. The other listed profiles will remove themselves, this is ok.
- On earlier macOS, go to System Preferences > Profiles.
- In a web browser, go to the webpage https://swarthmore.jamfcloud.com/enroll. Log in with username "enroll" and password "enroll". If you get a message to change the password, you can ignore it in this case - that is the Chrome browser trying to be helpful.
- Leave the "Assign to user" field blank.
- Click Enroll.
- Follow the instructions to download and install two certificates. One will require your Mac computer login credentials to install.
- After the two certificates are installed, the webpage will report that "The enrollment process is complete", and your computer's MDM profile will be renewed.
