Creating Print Job Presets in macOS
NOTE: These instructions were made using MacOS Sequoia. Earlier or later OSes may be different.
If you find yourself frequently printing specific document types, or regularly using special paper/media, you can create a custom preset to avoid clicking through settings each time to send a job.
Steps to create a printing preset
-
From whichever app you are printing from, go to the File menu (toolbar at top of screen), and select Print in the drop down menu.

-
NOTE: If printing from a web browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Edge), select Print using the system dialogue under the More settings section of the Print menu.

-
In the Print Dialogue window, select the options that you want for the preset.

-
Click the drop-down menu in Presets, and select Save Current Settings as Preset

This will launch a pop-up window.
-
Enter a name for the Preset. Select if Available for a specific printer or All printers. For Type, select Print Job Preset.

Click OK to save the preset.
