Set Voicemail Greeting for Out of Office Events
NOTE: Use the Zoom Phone Holiday settings to create out of office voicemail messages. With the Holiday settings, you can set the date and time that you want it to start and finish. This can be done ahead of time, so that it is ready to go.
Use the Holiday Settings in Zoom Phone to set Out of Office Voicemail Greeting
Add a New Holiday
- Sign in to the Swarthmore Zoom web portal with SSO.
- In the navigation menu, click on Phone.
- Under the Settings tab, scroll down to Holiday Hours and click on Manage.
- Click Add.
- Enter a Title for the Holiday or Out of Office Event
- Enter date and time that you want it to start and end, and then click Save.
- Under When a call is not answered, check that it is set to Forward to voicemail / videomail.
- Under Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit and select Add Audio.
- Choose Text to Speech or Record by Computer to add the voicemail greeting.

Name the greeting (Asset) and set Category to Voicemail Greeting
- Click Add
Edit Holidays
You can edit Holidays to change the dates or voicemail greetings. This is useful for recurring events.
- Sign in to the Swarthmore Zoom web portal
- In the navigation menu, click on Phone.
- Under the Settings tab, scroll down to Holiday List & Call Handling.
- Click Manage.
- Select the holiday that you want to edit.
- Next to it's name, click Edit to change the title, dates, and hours.
- Click Save
- Under Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit and select Choose from asset library.
- Select the Voicemail Greeting that you want to edit
- Click More (three dots) on the far right side of Greeting that you selected, and select Edit.
- Click Continue when prompted.
- Make the necessary changes and then click Save.
